I did a web search on "Parallel Switch" and found a few candidates, e.g. A Belden switch for $79 at http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2252683
What USB-parallel hardware did you find that works on a Mac? I've tried two manufacturers so far with no luck. Keyspan's only knows how to talk to specific printers, and they could offer no advice on communicating generically to a parallel device. Here is the general situation: I've been calling around to various electronics companies all morning, but nobody really offers a software-controlled switch that will meet these needs. Does anybody know of a source for such a beast? Or, alternatively, if anybody has another idea on how to structure this problem, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
