Those you mention are on my wish list too, but I doubt they will every be
implemented because they're too much 'c-like'. The ones I propose are less
likely to cause such objections because they do not necessarily belong to
any programming language in particular, yet they could very well be. Their
function is (almost) implied by the function names, contrary to some of the
operators you mention. They don't look or even sound 'odd', though that's in
the eye (ear) of the beholder, of course.

On the subject of new RB features, I think it would be a good idea if RS
could add a new mailing list specifically for discussing ideas for new
features. This would leave the current NUG list for solving problems and
discussing issues.
Not that I don't like discussing new feature ideas ( in fact I probably do
it too much ;) )
