num_pixels = length_in_inches * screen_resolution_in_dpi Unfortunately I could not find a method to determine the screen's resolution in RB. As already stated in the other mails, Windows and MacOS would not provide the real value anyway. My X server provides the correct resolution, if it can determine the screen size via DDC and this value is used by KDE/QT(?) and Mozilla. That's the way it should be done and I think that Windows Vista has also been improved with respect to this problem. For RB I would expect the resolution as property of the screen class, but it is not there.
