I would strongly backup your proposition.
As you know I have tested FTC, and this is a terrific job. RTF to come ;-)

REAL should just incorporate the Formatted Text Control from True
North and then get add an ODF Reader/Writer and RTF reader/writer
RS is more than welcome to come and make an offer on the software.
Incorporating the FTC into the main framework would provide the
maximum benefit for the RB community. It would be a huge instant
feature for them to use as a selling point.
I will be creating RTF support software for the FTC since it is
required for cutting and pasting and for the RTF file format, so
RS would get an additional benefit for free. Contact Geoff if you
feel strongly that the FTC should be incorporated into the main
framework.
