I don't have any experience with this particular control, but have you
tried turning off redrawing/updating? I don't see a way to do this
with
the EditField, but maybe I'm missing something. Alternatively, could
you simply disconnect the stylerun from the edit field, make your
changes, then reconnect?
I'm going to go try to set Visible=FALSE before calling
StyleRunCount, but, honestly, I don't see any reason why it even
would need to be redrawing the editfield at all while counting
styleRuns.
Hopefully that will magically work. I'll report back.
