I'm going to go try to set Visible=FALSE before calling
StyleRunCount, but, honestly, I don't see any reason why it even
would need to be redrawing the editfield at all while counting
styleRuns.
Hopefully that will magically work. I'll report back.
Nope! Although it is less irritating to not see all the crazy
scrolling, it doesn't seem to be going much faster if at all.
Seriously, all bickering about this or that potential text control (I
know, I brought it up), does anyone have any idea why this is so
slow? Do you think it would be faster if I just iterated through
ever character and set up little boolean checks to add "<strong>"
when it detects boldness that wasn't there before and "</strong>"
when it goes away?
This is blowing hard.
