Unlikely. After I save the TIFF without any compression, RB can read it just fine. GraphicConverter reports the following:

Size: 2520x582
Resolution: 1200x1200
Colors: 16.7 mill. Colors (RGB, 32 Bit)
Memory: 5.6 MB
File format: TIFF (R), ZIP/Striped(1)/Non Planar
File length: 94.6KB
Compression: 1:60
Req. Time: .1s

A ZIP compressed TIFF is a relative new PhotoShop addition to TIFF. "Normal" TIFFs are LZW compressed.
I guess that QuickTime is not able to read ZIP compressed TIFFs.

A quick test using a LZW and a ZIOP compressed TIFF in RB does show a similar result.

So you should not use ZIP compressed TIFFs.

Cheers,

Tom

PS. When saving a ZIP-TIFF there is a PhotoShop warning "ZIP compression is not supported in older TIFF readers..."
