I really think you shouldn't use any of those, but instead should use EndOfLine, as Norman suggested. It was added explicitly to save the sort of headache you caused yourself by using explicit ASCII codes.
Yes, I'm on to that now - I wasn't aware of it before. It's made things a lot easier for me to implement. I've been out of the loop a while, and I've either forgotten or am unaware of things like these. I've some catching up to do.
