Andre,
It can't be that. As when the DB is opened with SQLiteManager, the Table
HAS disapeared.
The French Technical Support doesn't either find a reason for this problem.

Hi Youri,
This i cannot reproduce on windows, not even with several databases and
tables. From your story i suspect your app is losing track of the place
where it stored the databasefile, not RealSQL losing tables.

Hi,
I am actually very concerned about the
reliability of RBSQL.
Let me explain. I run a MacBookPro on 10.4.8 and RB2006 r4.
I went to 2 training courses lately on which we have concentrated our
efforts on developping DB app with RBSQL.
During these 2 courses we encountered a very weird behavior with RBSQL.
Using a simple Database with 1 table and 4 fields, we had the Table
disapearing sort of "randomly". First time we thought we had traced the
problem linked to Rosetta. But the second time the problem arroused only
on one of the 3 machines.
We then thought about a bug in our RB app.
Back at the office, I am experienceing the same problem (disaperarence
of Table in a RBSQL Database).
Let me add that, the app was ran yesterday evening. This morning I run
he app (without any modification/change..) and at the start the Table
has disapeared.
Any thought from regular RBSQL users?
TIA,
Youri

I've been using it for a year now with few problems that cannot be
traced back to myself. Rock solid so far.
Caveats: I am an amateur user who does not make complex sql calls. I
store and retrieve information in strings.
Seems to be very quick even with my cavemen code hammering at.
I have yet to corrupt a database.
A couple of tips I gleaned from the list that seem to work.
1) Create and manage the database from code. The DB editor in the IDE
can be very quirky. Most of problems went away when I gave up on the
IDE editor and wrote my own.
2) I do not use any of the db controls or objects in the IDE. Easier
to write and control your own classes that retrieve and set data.
my two cents.

Hi,
Is there some developer around using RBSQL for a while
in DB projects?
What do you think about RBSQL Stability, reliability?
What about RBSQLServer?
