I use the Keyspan Adapter to "talk" to my model railroad.

When I first started I wrote a simple serial term program and bridged pins 2
and 3 on the DB9 on the keyspan to have it echo back to me (didn't connect
it to anything). I could see exactly what I was sending that way.

Serial is pretty simple stuff and when it don't work, it's either some logic
line for DSR, DCD or something, wrong UART settings, or I wasn't sending
what I thought I was.
