I tried your original code and got the same result. Weird.

I managed to work around it by creating a brand new dragitem object
instead of the one supplied by the DragRow event handler.

Sub DragRow(drag as dragitem,index as integer)

        dim d as new dragItem
        d.picture = new picture(me.rowheight,me.width,32)
        d.drag

End Sub
