which raises another question from me. If you release the source,
doesn't it have to be free of any commercial dependencies? eg.
Commercial plugins ala Monkeybread, einhugur etc. I seem to
recall from some deep. dark place in my memory that *any* reliance
on a commercial component meant it couldn't be released under the
GPL.
Yes. In fact, under some interpretations GPL would preclude you
from releasing a RB application under GPL because to compile the
application requires a commercial compiler with a commercial
framework. You therefore cannot provide all the means to install
and use the source (compiler), and the source links against a
commercial, closed framework (RB classes).
