Although I don't have the numbers, I suspect that the NUG (mailing
lists) are a HUGE resource in REAL Software's favor when it comes to
keeping noobs 'in the game'. Killing this list would just be shooting
themselves in the foot with an elephant gun (or stepping on an IED in
Iraq...)
There's probably even some percentage of RB users who joined
specifically because of the existence of such a list.
Hopefully, RS people have their finger on the pulse, and realize
they're flat-lining here! DON'T kill the NUG.
At this rate, the list will become - in the words of Dug the
Podracer, "Bantha Poodoo!"
And shortly thereafter, RS's sales figures will plunge too, as many
(?) former users abandon the platform, the company, and each other,
and take up Cocoa or VB.Net.
Just my $0.02 on the matter...
