Has anyone done this?
Would AppleScript work?
copy the files off any cd inserted and put them in a special
folder?

I think you want the same capability like the standalone wmplayer.
What I think it does is read the info header of each music file in the
CD and create a playlist or the listbox info. The music samples are
only read for playback when the action is selected. If you want to
copy the files then that looks like a system call to me from a
realbasic button or at launch. I am a newbie but maybe someone has
done this or created a plugin.
