Subject: RMEditor / MP3 files

Two things:

1) RealProducer 6.1 will batch mp3 files happily.
2) RMEditor weirdness

Even though you use the same encoding specs (codecs, video quality, max.
framerates *and* compatibility), sometimes files will not paste together
properly. Sifting through the RMDump files sometimes leads one to see that
headers are ordered differently, or streams of the same bitrates assigned
different numbers for the SureStream rulebook. This *shouldn't* matter, but
in fact sometimes confuses the RMEditor.

The solution is this. Move all the files you want to paste to the same
machine. Cut off the last .1 second off of any offending files. This allows
the RMEditor on that machine to re-order the headers and streams in the
order it favors. DO NOT CUT ANYTHING OFF THE BEGINNING - you'll lose a
keyframe. After this, 99.9% of your files will paste together happily. That
other .1%, well, your guess is as good as mine. ;^)
