(again promoting my site)
Go to www.fastv.com and watch a bunch of video clips, sooner than later
you'll get a video ad displayer with an RM file. Before we play that we
have an image splash screen of our company logo. Just do a view source on
the player window to get the URL to the SMIL file. Then paste that URL in
your browser and view the source. It'll give you the SMIL source of how we
do this. (I'd just post it, but that's more work).

Subject: Embeded smil question
Hello,
I am trying to use a simple smil file to embed a video
in a web page. The trick is to have an image displayed
in the video area before the user plays the video. In
other words something very similar to the QT effect of
having the first frame of the video show before the
video is played
I am assuming smil is the best way to do this with
Real, but welcome all solutions.
Thank you,
Pat
