Not sure where to post the authentication issues (Google Groups or the user forum--- is there a preference or protocol?)
On the forum for the authentication issue, Tuco made some valuable points. It appears that, if I understand correctly, there hasn't been much testing for the following case: User X installs the server and the viewer on the same machine that happens to run on a LAN (i.e., the computer in your house where you have a router). Thus, the server has an external IP, the router has IP 192.168.1.1 and the local machine (internal) IP is 192.168.1.Y. I think this configuration needs to be tested for ReX because many people may wish to run small, shared configurations from inside their house, where their friends can also log-in. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ this list: http://groups.google.com/group/realxtend realXtend home page: http://www.realxtend.org/ -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
