user forum--- is there a preference or protocol?)

On the forum for the authentication issue, Tuco made some valuable
points. It appears that, if I understand correctly, there hasn't been
much
testing for the following case:

User X installs the server and the viewer on the same machine that
happens
to run on a LAN (i.e., the computer in your house where you have a
router).
Thus, the server has an external IP, the router has IP 192.168.1.1 and
the local machine (internal) IP is 192.168.1.Y.

I think this configuration needs to be tested for ReX because many
people
may wish to run small, shared configurations from inside their house,
where
their friends can also log-in.
