Well, I forward messages sent to [EMAIL PROTECTED] to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] That works
just fine. However, I cannot use my Thunderbird client (which reads
the latter address)
to Reply to RealXtend messages, and get an error that
"[EMAIL PROTECTED]" is not
subscribed to the list.

I cannot see a way around this, but I have not done an exhaustive
search. To join
Google Groups, it appears that you need to have a gmail address.
Essentially, what
I would like is to tell Google Groups to accept email sent from my @cise.ufl.edu
account. Not sure if this is possible. It makes Google Groups less desirable.

For example, right now, I am entering this email via a web page
http://mail.google.com, rather than using my desired mail client,
Thunderbird.
