Well, I've tried logging onto the server locally using port 10001 and it
doesn't work.  It freezes at the "Logging in" screen.  If I use port 9000
then it works.

So if it doesn't work locally with port 10001, then surely it won't work
outside of the internal LAN.

So no, port 10001 won't work.

As I stated previously, I have tested port 9000 and it does work.
