At one time, viewing bug #112 in: http://forge.opensimulator.org/gf/project/modrex/tracker/?action=TrackerItemBrowse&tracker_id=133
modrex failed when using an external IP. This was subsequently fixed. However, there has been subsequent work done for rexlogin, and I concur that something is now not working when an external IP is used, especially from behind a router (which is, I would guess, the most common configuration for home users). I've posted a new bug report. Bug # 189 in the above tracker. Let me know if your Authentication window feedback provides the same sort of error that I am getting: [SimLoginChecker]: Failed to authenticate sim from <an internal IP appears here> address corresponding to uid is <an external IP appears here> At least this would be confirmation that someone else is having problems using modrex and an external IP. If only modrex would use the default opensim authentication..ah but that is another topic.... :) -p Master Tanker. wrote: > Hi everybody... > > With RealXtend server 0.4 i used this instructions > http://wiki.realxtend.org/index.php/Setting_up_Servers_for_Network_Use > to grant access from internet to other users, but with the Modrex doesn > ´t work.... i just dont know how to login... if > testu...@myexternalip or Test User and connect to myexternal ip... > > and if i create a new user, wich format to login should i use?... > > > > > -- Paul Fishwick, PhD Professor and Director, Digital Arts and Sciences Programs University of Florida Computer & Information Science and Eng.
