Which I can most certainly relate to ;-) On the other hand, aren't we going to play some kind of chicken and egg game then? It would be very helpful to have some kind of semi-official timeline of when certain features are planned to be implemented, regardless of immediate "commercial demand", tho it's certainly nice to be positively surprised by new releases as well (as I have often been). From a project planning viewpoint, that's often just not feasible.
