to me scripting means programming fast. And then the requirements to a library 
are similar to those to an app. only that i press the buttons with code.
so long-standing, predictable etc are features i like. while auto-updating, 
trying to be backward-compatible (instead of using the old script) are a bit 
cutting edge IMHO.
