Kielbasa Split Pea Soup
2 quarts water
1 lb. split peas, rinsed
1 1/2 lb. kielbasa sausage, cut into bite size pieces Salt and pepper
2 medium boiling potatoes, peeled and cubed 3/4 cup diced carrots
1/2 cu chopped celery
Mix water and peas in large pan or kettle. Bring to boil. Add sausage
chunks, salt and pepper. Reduce heat. Cover. simmer 30 minutes. Add
remaining ingredient and continue simmering until soup is slightly
thickened and vegetables are tender, about 15 minutes. Serve at once.
