Ranch  Loaf

1/2 cup milk

1 package (1 ounce) Hidden Valley Original Ranch salad dressing mix

2 pounds ground beef

1/2 cup fine dry seasoned bread crumbs

2 eggs, beaten

1 teaspoon black pepper

1/3 cup ketchup

4 slices bacon, halved crosswise

1. Position rack in middle of oven and heat to 350 degrees.

2. In a small bowl, stir together milk and dressing mix. Let stand 5 
minutes.

3. In a large bowl, combine ground beef with milk mixture, bread crumbs, egg 
and pepper, blending well.

4. Transfer to 9-by-5-by-3-inch loaf pan, mounding it slightly. Smooth the 
top of the loaf with the back of a spoon.

5, Spread ketchup over the loaf. Arrange bacon on top.

6. Bake about 1 hour or until cooked through.
Let stand 10 minutes before slicing.
