Tomato Sausage Soup

1/2 lb. bulk Italian sausage
1 medium onion, chopped
1 small green pepper, chopped
1 (28 oz.) can diced tomatoes, undrained
1 (14 1/2 oz.) can beef broth
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/2 C. picante sauce
1 1/2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. dried basil
1/2 tsp. dried oregano
1/2 to 3/4 C. shredded mozzarella cheese

In a large saucepan, cook sausage, onion and green pepper over medium 
heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in tomatoes, broth, 
tomato sauce, picante sauce, sugar, basil and oregano; bring to a boil. 
Reduce heat; cover and simmer 10 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese, makes 6
