Sour Cream Pound Cake
3 c. sugar
1 c. margarine, softened
6 eggs, separated
3 c. sifted flour
1/4 tsp baking soda
1 c. sour cream
2 tsp butter flavoring
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp almond extract
1 tsp lemon extract
With mixer cream sugar and margarine in mixer bowl until very creamy.
Add egg yolks, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Sift flour three times. Blend soda into sour cream. Add flour and
sour cream mixture alternately to creamed mixture, mixing well after
each addition. Beat in flavorings.
Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Pour into well-greased and lightly
floured 10-inch tube pan. Bake at dg350 for 75 to 90 minutes until
tests clean.
Makes 16 servings, 385 calories each.
