POPPY SEED LOAF CAKE

 

3 c. flour

1 1/2 tsp. baking powder

1 tsp. salt

2 1/2 c. sugar

1 1/2 tbsp. poppy seed

1 c. plus 2 tbsp. oil

1 1/2 c. milk

1 1/2 tsp. almond extract

1 1/2 tsp. butter flavor

3 eggs

1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

 

Mix and pour into 2 greased loaf pans. Bake about 1 hour at 350 degrees.

 

FROSTING:

 

1/4 c. orange juice

3/4 c. sugar

1/2 tsp. almond extract

1/2 tsp. butter flavor

1/2 tsp. vanilla

 

Let cake cool a few minutes. Brush frosting on hot cake.  Enjoy.
