Johnny Cakes
Ingredients 2 cups flour 1/2 cup of Crisco shortening 1/2 teaspoon of salt 3 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 cup milk Directions Sift flour, salt, and baking powder. Cut in the shortening with a knife and add milk. Mix lightly and press in a pan. Bake at 350 degrees until light brown for about 30 minutes.
