Baked Apple with Marzipan Ingredients: 3 1 tsp 12 30 g 2 tbsp 4 tbsp 300 g / 10 oz 3 g / 1 tbsp apple lemon juice walnut halves marzipan Cinnamon white wine apple juice yogurt maple syrup Serves 3 - 358 cal per serving Prep-time: 10 min. - Total-time: 45 min. It's best to use a tart, crisp apple for this recipe. Wash and dry the apples, than thoroughly remove the core using a core cutter. Drizzle the inside of the apples with lemon juice. Put the apples in a baking dish. To make the filling coarsely chop 6 walnut halves and stuff the apples in turns with marzipan (almond paste) and chopped walnuts. Sprinkle the apples slightly with cinnamon. Mix white wine and apple juice and pour over the apples. Pre-heat the oven to 355 F. Bake the apples on the middle rung for approx. 40 minutes until the apple skin bursts slightly open. Meanwhile mix the plain yogurt with maple syrup and season with a little cinnamon. Pour the yogurt sauce on a plate and place the baked apples on top. Decorate with walnuts.
