Brownie Reeses Bars
1 package fudge brownie mix
8 oz Reese's Premier baking pieces (tiny Reese's Peanut Butter Cups) 1/2
cup salted peanuts, chopped
12 oz good quality semi-sweet chocolate, chopped (about 2 cups) 1/8
teaspoon salt
1 1/4 cups smooth peanut butter
1 Tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cup crisp rice cereal
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare brownie batter according to the
package directions. Pour mixture into a 13 x 9 inch greased oven proof
baking dish. Bake for 30 minutes or until completely set.
Add Reese's baking pieces and chopped peanuts to top of baked brownie
mixture and bake for an additional 3 to 4 minutes until Reese's pieces
begin to melt. Remove from oven and set aside on a wire rack.
In a medium saucepan and with heat set at medium-low, combine chocolate,
salt, peanut butter and butter. Stir constantly until smooth. Remove
from heat and stir in vanilla extract and cereal.
Spread mixture over brownie mixture and place in refrigerator for 2 to 3
hours until cool and firm. When cool, remove from refrigerator and cut
into bite size pieces. Messages in this topic (1)
