>Police to break up city protest

> "There was certainly some leniency shown initially, but the camp fire has
started to annoy a lot of people now that they are back at work and back at
the shops."

must be a very poorly resourced protest as black's are renown for smokeless
fires

i have never heard human rights or justice called 'leniency' before

'people' shopping and working are annoyed so out go the fires
what about the 'people' who originally started the protest fire and the
'annoyances' that they feel

what does 2000 hold for oz i wonder - given that politicians subverted the
majority vote on the gst issue i doubt that a few small groups of indig
ozians will get much other than negative media - police violence and
incarceration - when pushed to publicly protest because the
'democratic'/human rights/justice 'system' is failing them and many others
- unless 'we' do something

i don't want to see or read about any more 'protest fires' being put out by
anyone except those who lit them
suggestions welcome
