ABC News Wed, 26 Apr 2000 12:09 CDT LOCAL NEWS : SA Gulf Cities Arabunna elder urges restoration of water supplies The leader of a camp on WMC Resources land at Lake Eyre South, in South Australia, says the company should restore water supplies to the group. Kevin Buzzacott, an elder of the Arabunna Aboriginal people, says security guards moved in last week to try to move the camp and to cap the bore they were using for water. WMC says the protestors are trespassers and they should move away. However, Mr Buzzacott says they will cart water to the site if necessary to keep the camp going and continue their claims to have the land restored to Aboriginal ownership. "Now they're giving a plug to say it's their property, it's their pastoral lease and all that stuff," he said. "But, I'm still saying that they still murdered for that land [and] they set up their legislation to support them. "It's our country, and like I said - it's not a protest camp.
