In 1995 I was the research associate for Dennis Ham on the following DEET

I presently work part-time for the Deaths In Custody Watch Committee in WA
and also tutor at Curtin and at Edith Cowan under the ATAS system. My wife
has lectured at Curtin on the Bachelor of Applied Science (Indigenous
Community Health) Programme for seven years.
We are both at our wits end over the present government's position and
attitude at overcoming the educational disadvantage suffered by First
Nation Australians and the consequent frustration of professionals
attempting to overcome this disadvantage.

My wife is leaving at the end of this year. I'm abandoning the ATAS
scheme.
I don't mean to be a wet blanket, but my experience tells me that any
thought of any impact on WJH and his cohort, by any means short of
trinitrotoluene, will have little impact at the working level.
Questions, yes, how does the little prick sleep at night?
I think that what is needed is first to question the Centres at all 36 unis
about their programmes and students and also staff - hurt and suffering at
the hand of the Thatcherites, and the diminution of their programmes since
the ascent of WJH Inc.
Then hit WJH with the study - and the trinitrotoluene!
Seriously, what is needed is a study by a tribunal of professional
educators, with the powers of a Royal Commission, and then the funds...
