We're using flv2mp3 to extract the mp3.  It uses the standard Flash 
player to decode it and grabs it from there into a file.

We don't have the source, but it works pretty well.  Of course, to get 
both video and audio, you have to grab the mp3 using flv2mp3 and get the 
video using ffmpg and then marry the two again.  Our biggest hurdle was 
to get the two in sync - bit rates were different causing timing issues.
