Pretty Much annoying Jesus (client
encoding),
We have been transmitting Radio Stations and we capture the
source from computer input with a flash client.
So, streams are encoded with veeery low quality for music, however voice is pretty much acceptable. There is a cam.setQuality(0,80); however audio quality does not seem to have a way to be modified...can it? We probably need to create an application to encode (to mp3
or FLV?) on the fly and send chunks of that to
Red5,
The options are: a)Probably use or create encoding software and
FTP encoded chunks to a directory and then somebody can just clic on a file and
stream mp3 back to the user. The issue would be to know if RED5 can
stream an unfinished upload...
b)Use an encoder compiled within a Flash Client, I know Riva FLV can do
something like that (www.rivavx.de ),
Maybe someone from the list can shed some
light.
Does this make
sense to anyone?
