Your post is very long and I didn't see what it has to do with red5. And link to your testbed just stayed on loading. But I am thinking myself about possibilities of continues screen capturing (paired with audio recording) and instant upstreaming via RTMP (Bitstream codec) to red5 (or red5 clone, as now several people started on, including myself). Is that what you are up to ? Or how do you currently do crossplattform screen capturing ? Or is your solution tied to KDE (because of the K in screenKast) ??
