It's not a question of whether Tomcat is "better" or "worse" (how do you
usually compare software?), it's a question of whether Red5 is coupled
with a specific servlet container or not.

Paul is working on WAR deployment feature that will allow to use Red5
with ANY Java servlet container or application server.

That opens wide horizons to Red5. It can be easily integrated for
example by JBoss (sorry, Red Hat) if one day the 'd like to offer a
video server solution.

And the thing you mean, hot deploy, is pretty cool, using it with Ant
build script allows you to write-build-get result without extra server
restarts or other annoyancies.

Thanks Paul for his hard work on this, to be honest, essential feature
for every Java network application.
