ive only just implemented red5 as our FMS alternative, im not a red5 or java developer as such, in fact there seems to be many here who are just AS2 programmers so have to be easy on us :) > Paul is working on WAR deployment feature that will allow to use Red5 > with ANY Java servlet container or application server. > Interesting thats great. The thing is id have no idea how to try our configuring red5's configs to try any of them, what would be nice is example configs in the future to implement any of them, ie jetty, tomcat, jboss etc. Atm you have to be a guru to do any config tweaking which i leave as default. Im a guru at tweaking apache server configs , mysql configs and php configs for optimization thats about it ;) > > And the thing you mean, hot deploy, is pretty cool, using it with Ant > build script allows you to write-build-get result without extra server > restarts or other annoyancies. > dont know what you mean there, but yeh the server restarts obviouslly boot off viewers (not load balanced yet), and there is the problem if there are exceptions and isnt bought up on reboot :) Im not a windows admin guy, but how is it possible to start the red5 service in the console on startup or whatever in the background ?, id like to be able to see the actvity in the console for a while until everything is stablised then try to find a program to view live logs from a log file. I currently have to always run "ant server" and its always in my RDC login and not in the background, so if i logout so does red5 :) _______________________________________________ Red5 mailing list [email protected] http://osflash.org/mailman/listinfo/red5_osflash.org
