Hi Adam, > You think you can get it to work around installing in another > location other than Applications ? using shell script ?
that is working, you can install red5 in any location you want. The problem was the hardcoded red5 path in the shell script, but this is now solved with the line: cd "$1/.." (changes to the current working directory). > I used platypus to make the app (and icon) http://www.sveinbjorn.org/ > platypus by the way. thanks for the link, that saves alot of time, i'll let the creator know red5 uses it so he can add it to his apps list. I created a new Red5.app and also added a text output window that shows the debug and startup info and you can stop the server with the.. stop button ;) You can download the updated installer from http://www.red5.nl/ installer/setup-red5-06rc1.dmg. If you already installed red5 and only want the red5.app launcher/dock icon, download http:// www.red5.nl/installer/red5-launcher.zip > I know a few people on the mailing list will be feeling quite pleased > that a really good mac installer is coming together. > I have no idea how many people are developing on a mac for red5, and > I have got to get back into it as I am still stuck on 0.3 apps that > I cant get to work on 0.6! > > Also let me know if you need hosting for the installer as I have > plenty of bandwidth. The installer was downloaded about 20 times in the last days so if you have a few gb free, put the latest installer on your site and add the url to the wiki.
