Hi!

Thanks for the reference, we'll check it out. But, according to you, do you
think it is legal for us to use Red5 to build up our application instead of
using FMS? Do you think we might get in trouble with Adobe for that?

Thanks

Eric

Eric:

The best information you will get is here.

Additionally, you could probably do a search on the mailing list for "legal".

Hi all,

We develop an eLearning and eMeeting platform in Flash and we use FMS2 on the
server side.

Some weeks ago, we downloaded and installed Red5 to test it and we highly
appreciated it! It's a nice product that has a lot of potential and we would
like to use it in the future.

My question is about the RTMP protocol. Can we develop our Red5 server to
communicate with our platform without getting in trouble with Adobe. We heard
different versions regarding the legal aspect of the RTMP protocol. Could you
give us more information about that point?

Thanks

Eric
