You could use ffmpeg or mencoder to transcode your mpeg4 stream to flv. Then
tuck the streams in the streams directory or in your own custom directory:

Greetings! I'm new to red5, and flash. I have a few .flv files, and can
stream them with embedded players on web pages with no problems.
Now, I need to take an RTSP feed from an axis camera (mpeg4 a/v stream
with), and transcode to flash video.
Being new to red5, I have no idea how to do this. The tutorials on
osflash.org don't seem to say much about live video (let alone any
video). Web searches have resulted in people having sync issues, delays,
freezing frames, etc.. but noone has posted sample code/config/whatever to
show how they are streaming. At least it seems possible.

I've also been trying to get this project working using vlc, but not much
luck there either.
I'm using .6rc2 for windows, and .6rc1 for debian. The debian one seems
to only want to listen on ipv6, which I dont have/use. quite odd.. but at
least the windows one I can get a webpage out of, and view the sample movie
trailers included with it. so I suppose thats something, although windows
isnt my preferred server...

any suggestions? web sites to look at? I'm not looking to do all sorts of
stuff with flash, just publish this live video stream.
