How about creating a knowledgebase and charging a subscription fee for that for public non members ( 1$ paypal per answer ) – with an option for free knowledge base if you contribute…..kinda like jigsaw.com You can get free contacts if you give free contacts….if you need contacts then it’s a buck and won’t give any thens it’s a cost. FAQ’s older than 90 days get posted for free to draw new people. Builds over 6 months old get the same treatment…..and on and on … I believe in open source but to many people take and don’t give back…..this is a way to mediate that. Each new release = more FAQ’s it’s a round robbin thing. So start a knowledge base and if the user answers FAQ’s then they get to see Faq’s. If you’re a newbie, then learn and motor into the knowledgebase and answer – everyone mediates answers like wiki with edit abilities. You can do the same with making build samples – platform info and such… If no one likes this idea then pretend I never sent it. There were reasons why we didn't do it though. I actually have those original emails. I'll see if I can post some notes on the subject. However, maybe we could re-evaluate those. Let's say if 500 ppl volunteer to donate $50,-....That's $ 25000,- Maybe with that money download servers and "spare time" of the developers can be financed.
