Hi!
Sure I tried, no prob about that. But I dont want to LIMIT it but give more
bandwidth, since this APP will be wired when recording (1gbit) and after we
have recorded FLVs, goes online for downloading.
The thing is I want to record my 800x600 desktop at about 25fps in 80-100%
quality. In eats a lot of cpu (no prob for my c2duo) and eatn a lot of
bandwith (no prob for my Gigabit etehrnets crosslinked)
But it is problem somehow for my NetConnection object, which is limited. But
I dont know how to uncap/delete/remove this 1.5mbit ~ 200Kbye / sec limit,
either in flash on clientside, or in red5 application server side.
I was dealing with red5 common xml
<bean id="FlowControlService"
class="org.red5.server.stream.BalancedFlowControlService"
init-method="init">
<property name="interval" value="10"/>
<property name="defaultCapacity" value="102400"/>
</bean> -->
And tried to set defaultCapacity up to the max, even in red5 0.6 and in 0.5
-> I got still 1.5mbit limit.
Tried to se on the app side:
if (conn instanceof IStreamCapableConnection) {
IStreamCapableConnection streamConn =
(IStreamCapableConnection) conn;
SimpleBandwidthConfigure sbc = new
SimpleBandwidthConfigure();
sbc.setMaxBurst(8 * 1024 * 1024);
sbc.setBurst(8 * 1024 * 1024);
sbc.setOverallBandwidth(2 * 1024 * 1024);
streamConn.setBandwidthConfigure(sbc);
}
And set maxburst etc up up up, still 1.5 mbit
Of cours I restarted red5 etc...
:/
Thx,
GaB

Have you tried using setQuality on the clientside? It allows you to
limit the max available bandwidth for streaming.
