Its true we should have sorted rtmps before now. However in classic open source defence its not an itch anyone has felt the need to scratch. RTMPS is RTMPT over SSL so all that it requires is some additional jetty / tomcat configuration. I hacked away at it tonight and got it working using this doc as reference. http://docs.codehaus.org/display/JETTY/How+to+configure+SSL 04:09:13:802 - Connecting to rtmps://127.0.0.1:1936/oflaDemo 04:09:14:294 - NetConnection.Connect.Success 04:09:53:269 - Playback - NetStream.Play.Reset 04:09:53:269 - Playback - NetStream.Play.Start ... You can try it out using the latest trunk.. conf/red5-rtmpt.xml Note you need to connect to https://localhost:1936/open and trust the cert before using rtmps. - Luke J
