Hmmm,

This is a bit strange.

I am running RED5 in Tomcat 5.5.20 without any of the problems you are
describing.

I am running latest trunk version, Win2K server and java 1.6.

I can go among six video streams switching at will.

Using exploded war in my webapps.

Try exploded war. You should be able to see stream names in stream folder in
tomcat webapp.

well, i've tested it a bit more, trying different versions of red5 war and
have come to this:
the problem appears in any version, however if you let the videos play to
the end, then disconnect,
then shut down the browser and start it again it seems to workd fine, the
problem occures when
you switch videos while playing the stream, connect/disconnect frequently,
then the streams do not
show up, even if you restart the server(whole debian thing), the only
solution is to undeploy the war,
then deploy it once again, restart the server, restart the browser on the
client, none of this i have experienced
with the standalone version of red5.

i have some additional information to the non-working streams in war,
sometimes after restarting both client and server the streams work fine,
however when it doesn't i get the following in the oflaDemo debug console:
(notice the execution times between starting and stopping the stream,
those are really short)

(109534) Transformers.flv:
(109928) NetStream.onStatus:
  clientid = 1
  details = Transformers.flv
  description = Playing and resetting Transformers.flv.
  code = NetStream.Play.Reset
  level = status

(109931) NetStream.onStatus:
  clientid = 1
  details = Transformers.flv
  description = Started playing Transformers.flv.
  code = NetStream.Play.Start
  level = status

(109934) NetStream.onStatus:
  clientid = 1
  details = Transformers.flv
  description = Stopped playing Transformers.flv.
  code = NetStream.Play.Stop
  level = status

(110537) NetStream.onStatus:
  level = status
  code = NetStream.Buffer.Flush

  Hello I would like to ask two questions:
1. where are the logs for both red5 standalone and war, i've looked into
the log4j and red5 xmls but didn't find the location
2. I'm using both the standalone and war versions on debian etch amd64,
for the warlet version within Tomcat i can not see
the streams in the ofla demo, i can connect, but then when a click one
of the streams, it tells me it started and stopped playing
without showing anything, with the standalone version it works fine,
other non video related demos work fine with the war
version.

Thanks
David
