We broadcasted from a Windows 2003 Server Machine Dual Core 2 GB of RAM,

We had to tweak the settings of the soundcard to use the MIC instead of
Line-IN.

We decided to test with the streamsuscriber from oflaDemo, The stream name
is
red5StreamDemo

We used that on flix Live and the Connected through the simplesuscriber that
can be accessed from within the web interface http://yourip:5080

Red 5 Installation without any tweaks (out of the box.. or tarball)

We tried the first transmissions over a wireless B 11 mbps network (our
first test was 1mbps) , And then switched to wired lan,

Lowered to 512 MP3 and voila we streamed aproximately 2 hours with two
clients connected. Acceptable lags were present but were however we had a
webcam with an audio background so we could not test audio sync.

What were the tweaks you made? And how are you running Red5? You must have
figured something out if your streams are not getting interrupted.

Thanks!

We had to do some tweaking at the Transmitting machine.

However we were able to make a Nice stream test on a local network with
100mbps switches,

Red5 is sitting on a linux machine, and both of the clients were Windows,

Using <http://8.0.2.0> MailScanner warning: numerical links are often
malicious: 8.0.2.0, streaming 256kbps, I see these occasionally on the
client
side:

code : NetStream.Play.InsufficientBW
clientid : 1
description : Data is playing behind the normal speed.
level : warning
details : live

This is over a gigabit connection.

any insufficient BW warning. Flix is <http://8.0.2.0> MailScanner warning:
numerical links are often malicious: 8.0.2.0 version and I've been using the
Broadband Med - 256kbps settings.
