What you will find, certainly with RedDot is a pretty archaic method of getting content out to generic type such as XML. RedDot is light years behind say recent CMS systems and LiveServer is just as bad, or even worse, from my experience - as there is no symbiotic link at all with RedDot and LiveServer as applications.
I suggest you try and ascertain through a rigourous, and no doubt arduous process, of what you want from a CMS before you committ.
