OK, so after backing everything up I could possibly think of, double- checking everything, and finally biting the bullet, I uninstalled RedDot. The aim is to move it from one partition (low on space) to another, so this is actually a 'reinstall' of sorts. However, on uninstall, I got a few errors relating to the 'Global Assembly Cache', a Windows feature I'm unfamiliar with. The specific error was:
ERROR: Found old RedDot files in Global Assembly Cache (GAC): RedDot.CMS RedDot.CMS.Caching ... 2001 (12 in total, including that very strange final one). The old RedDot directory (previously in C:\Program Files) remains, although the application is no longer listed in the Add/Remove Programs tool. On install, I'm then told that the entries in the GAC are a problem and asked to remove them manually. Does anyone know how to manually remove those entries?
