Ended up replacing the content class yesterday.. What happened: Someone deleted the user who was editing the content class, therefore the CC was locked and couldn't be accessed... So, yeah.. human error.
The only annoyance is that once you've replaced your content class you have to put all pre-assignments to that content class back in place.. Thanks for your help folks!
