I've found that, usually, reddot doesn't strip the id attribute, so doing it manually works for me: a) add an id attribute with a unique (to the page) value for the 'target' b) add '#' to the end of your 'different page' link, or just use 'href="#whatever-the-id-is"' for an in-page link.
